I have waited a ridiculously long time for this moment. A moment when everyone is out on the streets protesting, getting angry, confronting the police, those who once oppressed and killed hundreds during the military regime, those who are just as citizen as everyone else.
The smell of tear gas and burning plastic, leather and steel on the streets of São Paulo or everyone who was beaten and shot with rubber bullets by the mercenary police are the only signs of the “progress” we see written in the Brazilian flag.
These protests are all happening at the same time, in every major city in the country. Many will resist, many will stay in their comfort zones, brainwashed by the media and the wealthy will carry on acting like the country is fine, but WE WILL persevere. Brazilians are realizing they have the power to transform this country into the democracy it’s supposed to be and there will be no stopping for us.
We have waken up.

“i would like that very much….please follow me then” smiles and leads Lin to the kitchen, he gets a pot out and gathers up the ingredients.
